Everyday DIY tools are rarely celebrated for their aesthetics. When we partnered with Clevast, our challenge was to completely rethink the traditional hot glue gun, transforming a purely utilitarian hardware item into a sculptural, distinctive object that creators would be proud to display on their desks.

The core of the design lies in its clean, flowing form. We stepped away from the aggressive, industrial aesthetic typical of power tools, opting instead for a soft, minimalist white body. The handle and the main barrel merge into a single fluid gesture, creating a balanced and highly ergonomic profile that rests naturally in the hand.

This pure white canvas is intentionally interrupted by the product’s defining characteristic: a bold, red-orange circular cutout. This striking geometric detail acts as the visual heartbeat of the design. Functionally, it frames the transparent glue stick, allowing the user to see the material feeding through the chamber. Visually, it provides a friendly, unexpected pop of color that gives the tool a highly memorable and iconic character.

Beyond its striking silhouette, the design relies on subtle details to enrich both usability and the overall experience. The smooth, well-proportioned trigger ensures comfort and precise control during extended crafting sessions. At the front, a precision metal nozzle is surrounded by a heat-resistant grey silicone cover, combining safety and durability with a refined look. When not in use, the tool rests gracefully on a beautifully minimal charging base, reinforcing its modern, cordless nature and keeping the workspace organized.
Together, these elements work in harmony to improve the creative process. The result is a sophisticated, approachable tool that brings a fresh perspective to the world of DIY and crafting—proving that even the most common objects deserve thoughtful, beautiful design.
